Tony D’Occhio, DMD

A Connecticut native, Dr. Tony D’Occhio attained his Bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine to complete his Doctorate in Dental Medicine. He continued his professional studies with a general practice residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, where he performed a significant amount of hands on clinical training. Following his education, Dr. D’Occhio practiced for several years in the Boston area, prior to relocating back to Connecticut.

Dr. D’Occhio is deeply passionate about the dental profession and performs all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry, with a gentle and thorough approach, treating both pediatrics and adults. Dr. D’Occhio is committed to the newest advancements in dentistry to provide the latest technology and techniques, to offer patients the best possible long-term dental care solutions.

Dr. D’Occhio is a standing member of the American Dental Association, CT State Dental Association, CT Peer Review Committee, and UConn Dental Alumni Association. He regularly attends continuing education courses, participates in local study clubs, committees, and is also certified in Nitrous Oxide administration.

Dr. D’Occhio enjoys an active lifestyle on the shoreline with his wife, Jessica, and two children.

Brian Sawchuk, DDS

Dr. Brian Sawchuk graduated from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy and served as an officer in the United States Public Health Services in Fort Defiance, Arizona. After a tour of duty, he attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry and received his dental degree. An original founder of our dental practice, Dr. Sawchuk was instrumental in opening our doors to patients in Madison in 1984.

Dr. Sawchuk is a board member of the Madison Ambulance Association, a member of the First Congregational Church, where he has taught Sunday School and sings in the choir. Dr. Sawchuk is a member of the local Lions Club, Shoreline Dental Society, American Dental Association, River Valley Dental Study Club, CT Dental Peer Review Committee, United States Public Health Service Inactive Reserve, National Eagle Scout Association and sings in several choral groups. Dr. Sawchuk also previously served as chairman of the board of directors of the Madison Health and Human Services Commission.

Dr. Sawchuk and his wife, Susan, a retired Madison School teacher, have three children and four grandchildren.
